Man United vs. Crystal Palace Livestream: How to Watch Premier League Soccer From Anywhere

Just four days after these two sides locked horns in the Carabao Cup, Manchester United and Crystal Palace go head-to-head once more at Old Trafford in this English Premier League fixture.

Wednesday’s cup encounter saw Man United prevail with a much-needed 3-0 win to ease the pressure on beleaguered boss Erik ten Hag.

The task of reversing that midweek result has gotten even more difficult for Palace boss Roy Hodgson, who is being forced to configure his squad for this game with academy players due to the Eagles’ deepening injury crisis.

Below, we’ll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch all of the action live, wherever you are in the world.

Man United vs. Crystal Palace: When and where?

Man United host Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. BST (10 a.m. ET, 7 a.m PT, 12 a.m. AEST).

How to watch the Man United vs. Crystal Palace: game online from anywhere using a VPN

If you find yourself unable to view the game locally, you may need a different way to watch the game — that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it’s also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. So if your internet provider or mobile carrier has stuck you with an IP address that incorrectly shows your location in a blackout zone, a VPN can correct that problem by giving you an IP address in your correct, non-blackout area. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

Livestream Man United vs. Crystal Palace in the US

Saturday’s Man United vs. Crystal Palace match is on USA Network, which you can access as part of your cable package or at the NBC Sports website with a valid login, and can be streamed via Sling TV and other more expensive streaming TV services.

Can I livestream the Man United vs. Crystal Palace game in the UK?

No broadcaster has the rights to show this game live in the UK, due to the traditional Saturday 3 p.m. kick-off blackout, which prohibits matches being shown in the region at that time in order to protect attendances throughout the English football pyramid.

That also means that if you’re in the UK traveling for pleasure or for work, you’re unlikely to be able to watch the game like you normally would at home thanks to geo-blocking.

There is one option to get around this, however. By using a VPN, as explained above, you can set your location to a country where the match is being broadcast and go from there.

Livestream the Man United vs. Crystal Palace game in Canada

If you want to stream Man United vs. Crystal Palace live in Canada, you’ll need to subscribe to Fubo Canada. The service has exclusive rights for this Premier League season.

Livestream the Man United vs. Crystal Palace game in Australia

Football fans Down Under can watch this EPL fixture on streaming service Optus Sport, which is showing every single Premier League game live in Australia this season.

Quick tips for streaming the Premier League using a VPN

    • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming EPL matches may vary.
    • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
    • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
    • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
    • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.

The AirPods Pro 2’s latest update adds two new features: Conversational Awareness and an Adaptive mode. Both settings are mainstays on Sony’s WF-1000XM5 earbuds. I wanted to see exactly how each company approaches these features.

  • Made by Google Event: How to Watch and What to Expect at the Pixel 8 Launch

Made by Google Event: How to Watch and What to Expect at the Pixel 8 Launch

Next week is the Made by Google event, where we expect the company to launch the Pixel 8, 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2. Over the past weeks, Google has not-so-subtly showed off the upcoming phones and smartwatch and also added a preview/sign up page to let people get notified about updates and ordering the new hardware. We already know a lot: the names of the devices, what they look like and that there are likely some AI features. Who needs rumors, am I right? Google’s Pixel event feels less like it’ll be an unveiling and more like a filling in of the blanks.

Here’s everything you can expect at the 2023 Made by Google event.

How to watch Google’s Pixel event

As has been the case for several years now, Google holds an annual event in October to launch the latest generation of Pixel devices. This year’s Made by Google event is set for Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT). It’s being held in New York City for invited members of the press and will stream on Google’s YouTube channel. CNET will be at the event in person to cover the reveals of the new phones and wristwatch, along with anything else Google may show off.

The Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro

“Meet the new Pixel phones, featuring the most advanced Pixel cameras yet, and Google AI to help you do more, even faster.”

That’s the tagline on Google’s site for the new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. The Pixel phone has always embraced AI and machine learning to some extent, but this tease definitely suggests more. And that might be why Google’s bold previews focus mainly on what the new phones look like and avoid showing off what they can actually do.

In a purportedly leaked video on 91mobiles shared by Kamila Wojciechowska, there’s a walk-through showing off new camera features, which are apparently powered by “Google AI controlled by you.” An enhanced video stabilization feature called Video Boost gets showcased, as well as night mode photo processing under very dim lighting, and improved audio isolation for video recording. In what’s perhaps the wildest feature, the video shows a picture of people on a merry-go-round, and then someone swapping out their blurry heads for crisp in-focus versions, on a Pixel 8. If this is Google AI, count me as intrigued.

Aside from AI, the Pixel 8 will follow previous Google phones in being the smaller of the two, and only the Pixel 8 Pro will have a telephoto camera. In Google’s teaser video, the phones are shown off in a carnation pink and a white color. Both Pixels look like they’ve had nearly every right angle smoothed out. The edges appear more rounded, with both phones looking taller and slimmer than their predecessors.

Wojciechowska also shared leaked Pixel 8 and 8 Pro specs on 91mobiles (as did reliable tipster Evan Blass on X). Both phones apparently share the same main 48-megapixel camera but the rest are different. According to the specs, the Pixel 8 has a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera compared with the 50-megapixel one on the 8 Pro, which will include a new macro focus mode. Both have a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera, but the 8 Pro’s selfie camera also has autofocus instead of the fixed focus on the Pixel 8. The 8 Pro, like recent pro models, has a third rear camera: a telephoto with 5x optical zoom.

In terms of the screens, the Pixel 8 looks to have a 6.2-inch display, which is smaller than the 6.3-inch one on the Pixel 7. The Pixel 8’s screen gets a boosted refresh rate, to 120Hz, up from the Pixel 7’s 90Hz. Both phones are expected to also feature Google’s Tensor G3 chip.

Perhaps the most curious rumor is that the Pixel 8 Pro will have a built-in thermometer. According to another video leak on 91Mobiles (in partnership with Wojciechowski), you’ll be able to use the 8 Pro to measure your temperature. The video has been taken offline, but a contactless thermometer could open up more health features. If the leak is accurate, it won’t be the first smartphone to offer such functionality. The 2020 Honor 4 Play Pro used a sensor to do something similar.

As reported by 9to5Google, the eighth generation of Pixel phones could come with an increased price tag, with the base Pixel 8 going for $699 and the base 8 Pro for $999, a $100 increase for both phones over last year.

    The Google Pixel Watch 2

As with the phones, Google released a teaser video for the Pixel Watch 2. The new watch looks nearly identical to last year’s original Pixel Watch, aside from the crown, which appears more svelte.

In a close-up shot of the side, you can see the bottom of the watch, with IP68 listed on it. That would be a substantial upgrade considering the original version lacked any official dust or water resistance.

The Pixel Watch 2, along with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, will be available to preorder on Oct. 4., according to the fine print in Google’s videos. For everything else, we’ll have to wait for the Made by Google event.

3 New Features You Need to Know About on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have been out for a week, and by now, you’ve probably played around with several of the new features available, especially those on iOS 17, like Standby Mode, which turns your phone into a smart display, and NameDrop, which you can use to share your contact information simply by placing your phone near someone else’s phone.

However, if you haven’t had time to explore features exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, it’s time to. There aren’t many exclusive features, but in this story, we’ve highlighted three that you definitely want to set up, configure and use. If you’re looking to get the most out of your iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, here’s what you need to know.

Don’t have an iPhone 15 Pro yet? Check out our review of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and this gallery that takes a closer look at the two high-end iPhone models.

    1. Set up the new action button

The action button is one of the biggest changes to the iPhone hardware in a long time, replacing the ring/silent switch that’s been around since the very first iPhone model. Instead of just toggling between ring and switch mode, the action can be customized to do things like turn on your flashlight, record a voice memo and run a shortcut.

Don’t miss: Use Your iPhone 15 Pro’s New Action Button for More Than One Thing

In Settings > Action Button, swipe through the various actions you want the action button to perform when pressed. These are actions you have available:

    • Silent Mode (default): Switch between silent and ring mode.
    • Focus: Turn on your main Focus mode, like Do Not Disturb.
    • Flashlight: Turn on your rear flashlight.
    • Voice Memo: Record an audio note.
    • Magnifier: Use your camera as a magnifying glass.
    • Shortcut: Trigger a shortcut you’ve downloaded or created.
    • Accessibility: Use an accessibility feature of your choosing.
    • No action
    Action button settings

If you see arrows below an action, that means there are additional options. To assign an action to the button, simply swipe and stay on the action in your settings. When you’re finished, exit the setting’s page.

    2. Change the default camera lens when you open your camera

The default main camera on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max is the 24mm lens, which is equivalent to 1x zoom. It’s your standard lens, but if you always find yourself zooming in a tiny bit when you’re snapping a photograph, you can change over to a different default lens for the main camera.

In Settings > Camera > Main Camera, choose between the three main lenses:

    • 24mm – 1x (default)
    • 28mm – 1.2x
    • 35mm – 1.5x

The next time you open your main camera, your camera will start at whatever new focal length you choose, whether it’s 1.2x or 1.5x. If you want to swap between lenses, tap the main camera zoom control to manually switch between 24mm, 28mm and 35mm. You can also press and hold down on the control and drag the slider for more precise control.

Main camera setting on the iPhone 15 Pro

    3. Take advantage of the iPhone 15 Pro’s USB-C 3.0 speeds

The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus both have a USB-C port, but the two models support the same USB 2.0 speeds as prior iPhone models with a Lightning port, which is 480 megabits per second. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max on the other hand also have USB-C ports, but they support USB 3.0 speeds, which is 10 gigabits per second — making it 20 times faster.

So what does this all mean for you? First, you’ll need a USB-C cable that supports 3.0 speeds. The USB-C cable that comes with your iPhone only supports 2.0 speeds, so you’ll need to buy an additional cable (like this one on Amazon).

    iPhone 15 Pro Max

Now that you have the correct cable, you can quickly transfer data between your iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. If you’re transferring data from iTunes to your iPhone, and vice versa, that should be quicker. But it works for really any files being transferred out of your iPhone, especially to a flash drive. That’ll also be faster.

Apple also a page highlighting that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can support recording ProRes video (high-quality lossy video compression format) directly to an external storage device, at up to 4K at 60 frames per second. It’s a niche feature, but if you’re a cinematographer or a video editor, shooting in ProRes gives you better detail and color depth you can color grade later on without losing quality. Having it directly recorded to an external storage device saves space and time, allowing you to connect the SD directly to your computer without having to transfer it from your iPhone first.

Prime Big Deal Days: Best Early October Prime Day Deals to Shop Right Now

Prime Day may be behind us, but Amazon has another massive savings event for Prime members launching in just over 10 days — the Prime Big Deal Days sale. It’s Amazon’s second Prime Day-like sales event of the year and a good opportunity to save for those that missed out on the summer deals. The company hopes it will kick off the holiday shopping season early, which gives you time to snag everything on your list before the usual Black Friday rush.

We’ve got all of the details on Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale below and we’re be rounding up the best early Prime Day deals below as we get ever closer to the event.

Best early October Prime Day deals

Though the sale isn’t underway yet, the deals have already started to ramp up. We’re gathering up a bunch of our favorites below so you can kickstart your holiday savings early.

Best early October Prime Day deals on health and fitness

What is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?

It’s reasonable to be confused as to what exactly Prime Big Deal Days is. You probably know it’s a sale event, but Amazon is steering clear of Prime Day branding for it and using a new name entirely for this fall 2023 sale. So, what do you need to know?

Prime Big Deal Days is a two-day Amazon sale taking place in October that offers exclusive savings to Amazon Prime subscribers with limited-time offers, flash deals and rock-bottom prices. If that sounds a lot like Prime Day, it’s because the sale is essentially a second Prime Day event for 2023 in all but name, just like the Prime Early Access Sale that took place in October last year.

When is Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale?

    prime-big-deal-days-box.png

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event will take place on Oct. 10 and 11. Running for a full 48 hours, the sale will offer a huge number of limited-time deals during those two days, though we expect Amazon will kick things off a little early with some promotions preceding the official start time. We’ll keep track of those right here.

Unlike Prime Day proper, which (save for a few exceptions) takes place in July, the Prime Big Deal Days sale occurs in the fall and is an opportunity for organized holiday shoppers to get started early, and also a chance for Amazon to hoover up eager bargain-hunters’ dollars before Black Friday sales begin in earnest.

As you can see from the history of Prime Day dates below, Amazon has held its Prime Day sales each July, with just a couple of deviations from that regular schedule. Notably, in 2020, Amazon pushed its Prime Day sale to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic before returning it to the summer in 2021 in a slightly earlier June spot. Prime Day returned to its July spot for 2022, though Amazon did use that October slot once again for an additional Prime Early Access Sale event that acted as a kickoff to the holiday shopping season. This year, that slot is being used for Prime Big Deal Days.

As a reference, here are the Prime Day dates from previous years:

    • Prime Day 2015: July 15.
    • Prime Day 2016: July 12.
    • Prime Day 2017: July 11 to 12 (first to last longer than one day).
    • Prime Day 2018: July 16 to 17.
    • Prime Day 2019: July 15 to 16.
    • Prime Day 2020: Oct. 13 to 14 (delayed by COVID-19 pandemic).
    • Prime Day 2021: June 21 to 22 (the earliest to date).
    • Prime Day 2022: July 12 to 13.
    • Prime Early Access Sale 2022: Oct. 11 to 12.
    • Prime Day 2023: July 11 to 12.

How long will the Prime Big Deal Days sale last?

Like Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days will run for 48 hours. The sale will kick off at midnight PT (3 a.m. ET) on Oct. 10.

Amazon’s Prime Day and Prime Day-like events haven’t been single-day affairs since 2016, spanning two days for the first time in 2017 and continuing to be 48-hour bonanzas since then. Many of the deals launching at the sale’s opening time will be available throughout the event, supplies permitting, with other, more limited-time Lightning deals launching and expiring within the two-day span.

Will there be a second Amazon Prime Day event this year?

Yes, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days is the second Prime Day-like sale of 2023. It replaces the Prime Early Access Sale that took place in October 2022 and is like Prime Day in basically every way.

Which countries get Prime Big Deal Days?

Prime Day is an international affair and the same applies to the Prime Big Deal Days sale with 19 countries participating. The full list is as follows:

    • Australia
    • Austria
    • Belgium
    • Brazil
    • Canada
    • China
    • France
    • Germany
    • Italy
    • Luxembourg
    • Netherlands
    • Poland
    • Portugal
    • Singapore
    • Spain
    • Sweden
    • Turkey
    • UK
    • US

Japan will also have its own Prime Big Deal Days sale later in the month.

How does Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale work?

The idea behind Prime Day — and, by extension, Prime Big Deal Days — is a simple one: Subscribers to Amazon’s Prime service can get exclusive discounts on thousands of products and services across the site during a limited period of time. The products, while still available to non-Prime members, will have extra savings for members, dropping many of their prices down to new all-time lows.

When you’re logged in to your Prime account and looking at a product landing page, you’ll see the discounted price if it’s on sale. You don’t need any special coupon codes, nor is there a need to use a specific payment method in order to get the discounts. If you spend your money wisely each year, you can easily make back your Prime membership cost in savings during the event.

Do you need to be a Prime member to shop the Prime Big Deal Days sale?

Yes, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale requires a Prime subscription if you want to nab any of the Prime-exclusive deals. You don’t have to be a paying subscriber, though, as long as the event falls within your Prime trial period. That means you can start your month-long trial now and get in on the savings for free. For more info on that, check out our guide to shopping Prime Day sales without paying for Prime.

Amazon last year raised prices on Prime membership. It’s now $15 a month (or $139 a year).

Will other retailers participate in Prime Day?

Each Prime Day, we see other retailers announcing sales that directly compete with Amazon’s event, and we expect its fall event to be no different. Best Buy has already confirmed it intends to host a 48-hour flash sale on the very same dates and Walmart will overlap Prime Big Deal Days with its own Holiday Kickoff sale running Oct. 9 through 12. Home Depot is also running a Decor Days sale from Oct. 5 through 9 with savings on all things home decor in time for the holidays.

    Why did Prime Day start?

Amazon has been hosting its annual Prime Day sale since 2015. Originally, it was a 24-hour sales event to celebrate Amazon’s 20th birthday. The “Prime” in the name refers to Amazon’s subscription service, which offers free delivery on many products in as little as one to two days, and which has now expanded to encompass the Netflix-style Prime Video service and various other Amazon-related perks.

Prime Day soon became a version of “Black Friday in July” for Amazon, allowing the retailer to have a branded 48-hour shopping extravaganza in an otherwise sleepy retail season. Unlike Black Friday, however, the Prime Day branding lets Amazon differentiate its summer sale from competitors while selling Prime memberships and Amazon-branded hardware such as Echo speakers and Fire tablets, which encourage customers to stay within the Amazon ecosystem. The fact that the sale also allows Amazon and its partners to clear out inventory and warehouse space ahead of the holiday shopping season doesn’t hurt, either.

  • Nerf Launches Its Own Sport Using Hit-Detection Gear and Lots of Blasters

Nerf Launches Its Own Sport Using Hit-Detection Gear and Lots of Blasters

Nerf launched a new sport Thursday that combines blaster shooting with elements of team handball and basketball. Nerfball makes use of the company’s Pro Stryfe X blaster and — in 2024 — hit-detection gear in order to create a game with multiple ways for teams to score points.

The game takes place over four quarters, during which players can score by either putting a ball through a hoop for six points or by hitting opposing team members with a Nerf dart for one point. When a player gets hit by a dart, they have to go to a “respawn zone” at the back of their side of the field before continuing play.

Nerf Stryfe Pro blaster and Nerfball

At a Hasbro event leading up to New York’s Toy Fair, I got to hold an early version of the Nerfball, which has grooves to make it fairly easy to carry. Footage of a Nerfball game that was on display at the event shows players dribbling it like a basketball, but that wasn’t permitted during my brief hands-on.

During my demo, I also got to use the $120 Pro Stryfe X blaster on a target, and its motorized shooting feels closer to a paintball gun than the comparatively slower-paced shooting of the blasters meant for younger players. While one could play Nerfball by focusing on just shooting other players for points, I wouldn’t want to be blasted from close range. The game recommends all players wear protective eyewear, to which I’d heartily agree.

While players can hold the ball, it must move every 25 seconds whether the possessing player moves with it or passes it. While exact rules and the field layout can be scaled, the Nerfball rulebook recommends that each quarter take about four minutes in length — making a Nerfball match a fairly fast-paced game. Much like other field sports like soccer, Nerfball assigns players to Defender, Midfielder and Runner positions. After four quarters are up, the team with the most points wins the match.

For Nerfball’s debut, Hasbro set up an exhibition game called the Battle in the Bubble, which shows a field filled with barriers and obstacles that players can hide or dodge behind. Nerf also has goal nets for Nerfball, that require tossing the ball up high in order to score points. The high-up goal posts lead to some basketball-like gameplay styles for players that can make a shot from further away. The Battle in the Bubble match can be viewed on the Nerfball website, if you want an extended look at how a Nerfball match plays out.

Nerf says hit-detection gear for Nerfball is on its way in 2024, which will allow for real-time scoring as players get hit by darts. That gear will use proprietary foam with what Nerf calls “XO-Nano technology” that’s capable of detecting when a player is hit by a Nerf dart. For now, the Nerfball rulebook requires an honor system, in which a hit player must raise their hand before running back to the respawn zone.

Nerf has plans that create several ways for players to try out the new game: The full arena experience is being created at the Nerf Action Xperience entertainment center at New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza mall, starting there in 2024, with other locations coming later. Nerf will also have a line of Nerfball gear for players to set up in their own backyards or parks, providing another game option for Nerf meetup groups.

Kit Out Your Meta Quest 3 With These Prescription Lenses With Free Coating

The Meta Quest 3 is the hot new thing in AR/VR headsets and it has one feature that’ll be of real benefit to glasses wearers — it supports prescription lens inserts. Zenni is the company providing them, via the Made for Meta accessory program, and you can preorder yours right now with a special offer sweetening the deal.

That offer means that you can now place an order for Meta Quest 3 lenses and pay $50 while getting a free oil-resistant coating included. That coating would normally cost an additional $10, and it’s well worth having. It helps avoid getting fingerprints all over your new lenses and integrates an anti-reflective, water-resistant and anti-scratch coating, too.

These lenses are lightweight and surprisingly affordable, while installation is about as easy as can be. If you haven’t heard of Zenni, it’s a reputable provider, appearing near the top of our list of the best places to buy glasses online. The lenses are available for preorder right now and will start to ship on the same day as the headset, Oct. 10, with buyers in the US, UK, Canada and Japan all able to get involved. If you’re picking up a new Meta Quest 3 and normally wear glasses, this might be one deal you can’t afford to live without.

Zenni says that nearly half of Americans will be nearsighted by the time 2030 rolls around. And with lenses like these, there is no need to miss out on great AR/VR experiences anymore. Just make sure to input your prescription correctly when placing your order, otherwise they probably won’t work so well.

  • Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Leak Appears to Confirm Camera Upgrades, New Features

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Leak Appears to Confirm Camera Upgrades, New Features

Google has already teased the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, but more images and details continue to leak about the phones ahead of their official launch on Oct. 4. With the latest leak, there’s little left to the imagination, and the new information seems to confirm some rumors that have been swirling around the phones for months.

On Wednesday, reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks on X) revealed what appears to be an official specification sheet that compares the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro with the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7a. Alongside the spec sheet, Blass shared some purported promotional material for the new phones.

Among the upgrades coming to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro is improved camera hardware, according to the leaked spec sheet. While the Pixel 8 seems to make small improvements over the Pixel 7 and 7a, the Pixel 8 Pro will allegedly have the 48-megapixel rear ultrawide lens with “upgraded autofocus.”

In addition to improved hardware, new camera features, called Best Take and Macro Focus, also seemed to be confirmed in the leaks, though exactly how these will work remains to be seen. The Pixel 8 Pro will also have up to 30X “Super Res Zoom,” according to the spec sheet.

Beyond the camera upgrades, it looks like the rumored thermometer feature will be coming to the Pixel 8 Pro. This feature is expected to function as a traditional thermometer would, where you could place your phone against your skin and it will determine whether or not you’re running a fever.

There were also some promotional photos included in the leak, showcasing a variety of colors for the new phones. From the images, it seems like consumers will be able to get the Pixel 8 in gray, pink, and black and the 8 Pro in sky blue, gold or black.

So, while the new phones will be officially revealed by Google next week, these latest leaks seem to tell fans pretty much everything they need to know about the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. One detail that wasn’t included in the leak was the pricing of the phones. The Pixel 7 costs $599, while the Pixel 7 Pro goes for $899. The latest models will likely be in a similar range, though some rumors have suggested the Pixel 8 could start at closer to $700.

We’ll have to see what parts of these leaks come to fruition once the phones are officially revealed by Google. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

On this screen, you can tap the down arrow next to Open Camera to open a menu that lets you rename and customize the shortcut.

If you want even quicker access to your shortcut, this menu is also where you’ll find the Add to Home Screen feature, which will save the shortcut as an app tile. You can customize how the shortcut tile appears by uploading a photo from your library or choosing the color and symbol. Then, tap Add and it’ll be on your home screen.

The Shortcuts app also lets you create more complex shortcuts under Next Action Suggestions. These settings would let you do things like automatically send photos and videos to specific photo albums. If you want to create a more advanced shortcut, you can play around with these settings and customize the conditions to best fit your needs.

  • James Bond Infiltrates Apple Arcade in Cypher 007

James Bond Infiltrates Apple Arcade in Cypher 007

Prepare to step into the shoes of Bond, James Bond, in Cypher 007 on Apple Arcade. If you subscribe to Apple Arcade ($5, 5 or AU$8 a month), you can play as the famous spy at no additional charge, and without ads or in-app purchases.

This Bond game was developed by Tilting Point, which has developed mobile games based on popular TV series, like Star Trek, Narcos and Spongebob Squarepants.

In this Bond game, you are captured by Ernst Blofeld, the head of Spectre and Bond’s arch nemesis. Then, you are forced to relive past Bond missions in order to collect intel needed to stop Blofeld and Spectre.

But Cypher 007 is different from past Bond games. While other games, like the classic GoldenEye 007 and James Bond 007: Nightfire, were action focused, Cypher 007 emphasizes stealth.

The game wants you to sneak past guards and hide from view as much as possible and there are plenty of opportunities to do so in each stage. If you’re spotted by the guards, you have a better chance of survival if you run and hide. You can try to fight the guards, but I’m pretty sure when I tried I heard one of them say, “No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die,” before I had to restart the mission.

You can access this game, and many others, in Apple Arcade for $5 a month, or $60 annually. You can also try Apple Arcade for free for one month with your first sign up, or you can get a three-month free trial when you buy a new Apple device. To access Apple Arcade, open the App Store on your iOS device and tap the joystick in the menu bar.
