Apple is expected to launch its first touchscreen MacBook in roughly three weeks

Apple is poised to unveil a new MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen and an updated iPad Mini around October 27th, according to Bloomberg. Should this timing hold, the event would occur just two weeks after the October 13th announcement of today’s smart‑home‑focused gathering.

The anticipated late‑October gathering is also expected to showcase a refreshed iPad Mini, Bloomberg says.

Bloomberg notes that the late‑October event will feature an online video stream and a press‑room component, a format comparable to Apple’s plans for the October 13th event.

During the Mac and iPad showcase, Bloomberg reports that Apple will unveil lighter‑weight MacBook Pros equipped with touchscreen OLED panels and iPhone‑style Dynamic Island interfaces. It also appears Apple will introduce MacBook Pros that keep the existing chassis while adopting the new M6 chip, as featured in the upcoming Mac Mini.

Additionally, the 2024‑refreshed iPad Mini is slated for a redesign that moves the front camera to the landscape edge and adds an upgraded speaker system, Bloomberg reports.
