Buying Techgeeks’ wall-mounted HomeView? The mount costs extra

Techgeeks has announced its HomeView smart home display in two $299 models: one with a speaker base and another that is clearly labeled as a “Wall Mounted” version. However, if you choose the wall‑mounted option, you’ll need to spend at least $59 more because the mounting hardware to attach the display to a wall is sold separately. A more honest name might have been the “Mountless” version.

The wall connector adds another $59 to the $299 HomeView price tag.

Techgeeks doesn’t make a big deal about this extra charge for customers buying the wall‑mounted HomeView. The details are tucked away in the fine print at the bottom of the product announcement page:

HomeView (Wall Mounted) will be available with a choice of three purpose-built mounts from Schneider Home. Power Mount USB‑C Wall Connector, available starting at $59.95 (US), and Power Mount AC Wired, available starting at $79.95 (US), can be ordered starting today from apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app. Power Mount PoE Wired will be available starting in early 2027 for $129.95 (US).

When you add the HomeView to your cart on Techgeeks’ online store, you’re prompted to select from the available mount options (which currently excludes the Power Mount PoE Wired). Each mount increases the $299 price, or you can choose “No mount” to avoid the extra charge—though Techgeeks explicitly notes that the “HomeView (Wall Mounted) requires a mount and power solution to operate.”
