In essence, it empowers Gemini to access data accumulated across Workspace applications and deliver customized assistance.

According to Google, Workspace Intelligence eliminates the need to constantly switch between various documents and directories. You simply provide a prompt in plain language, and the AI leverages its comprehensive understanding of your work data to complete tasks efficiently.
“Workspace Intelligence gathers your pertinent emails, messages, files, and online resources to convert concepts into polished drafts that reflect your unique voice, branding, style, and corporate templates,” the company stated in a blog post. This approach mirrors capabilities seen in Anthropic’s Claude, especially within Microsoft PowerPoint via its extension framework.

GoogleConsider Google Docs as an example. Activating Gemini within Docs allows it to execute tasks informed by your historical work patterns. If you request an image edit, it will automatically apply adjustments aligned with your previous choices, guaranteeing uniform outcomes without requiring manual intervention for every item.
Additionally, Gemini can manage comments and implement necessary document revisions independently according to your directions. Google highlights that you can generate entire slide presentations instantly by simply instructing Gemini to do so. “Gemini leverages context from Workspace Intelligence and strictly follows your organization’s templates and visual guidelines to assemble a presentation-ready deck,” the company clarifies.
The Workspace Intelligence suite also encompasses AI Inbox and AI Overviews within Gmail. The former transforms your inbox into a task-oriented workspace, enabling rapid review of ongoing discussions and priorities. The latter generates concise summaries of email threads, functioning much like AI Overviews for Google Search.
