Samsung is preparing to expand the One UI 8.5 update, bringing top AI capabilities from the Galaxy S26 to previous-generation devices. The beta rollout for One UI 8.5 will include the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy S25 FE.

Additionally, Samsung is integrating Creative Studio into the Gallery app, enabling generative photo editing and sticker creation.
One UI 8.5 also features an enhanced Photo Assist tool with better object removal and background filling options. Another significant upgrade is Audio Eraser, which, according to Android Authority, now supports third-party applications. This allows users to remove unwanted background noise, like wind, from audio recorded in apps such as WhatsApp and Instagram, not just videos captured with the native camera.

Although the Galaxy S26’s features are extending to older flagships and foldables, they are currently limited to devices enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program, which is being released in select global regions.
Beyond new features, the update refines the user interface across several areas, including the Quick Settings panel, Galaxy Now Bar, and notifications. Devices that have already received this update include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
